Scottish Exotic Animal Rescue - Nick Martin's

My name is Nick Martin I grew up in the countryside of New Zealand and have always had a passion for nature in all its forms much to my poor parent's horror at times. As a child I spent all my time out in the bush finding all sorts of odd creatures  from Giant Weta's to Hu Hu beetles and centipedes. I would often bring home critters of all shapes and sizes, the ones that I thought I could get away with in jars and all the rest ever sneaked in my pockets or under my clothes straight to my bedroom into my secret mini zoo under my bed. My parents weren't the only ones that would suffer my passion for all things wild, it wasn't unknown for my teachers to find my little friends in my desk or escaping across the classroom floor with lots of screams from the girls "always a bonus when your a little boy" So many a lunch time was spent writing lines on the blackboard " I must not bring animals into class" a risk worth taking I always thought.

So here I am many many years later still as mad about all things wriggly! Now it's the turn of my very understanding misses who has to put up with all my exotic friends and me!
